The adapter reconstructs one ranking frame per year from archived Wikipedia captures (checked-in backfill) and appends a freshly fetched current-year frame from the live Wikipedia table. Each frame ranks albums by claimed worldwide sales (millions); rank movement reflects real editorial revisions and list churn over time. Artist portraits are pulled from Wikipedia and packed into the WebP sprite atlas.

Live Wikipedia 'List of best-selling albums' table observed 2026-08-01T08:06:41.397Z, appended to real annual history reconstructed from Wayback Machine captures (2010-2025). Values are editors' claimed worldwide sales in millions of copies.
